February 1, 2021 – ECT announces the hiring of two air quality and compliance professionals in the Central Alabama region. As an extension of the firm’s national compliance and sustainability division, they strengthen regulatory knowledge and relationships, technical and management expertise, and project delivery capabilities throughout the Gulf Coast and Southeast regions.

Adam George, PE joins ECT as a senior engineer developing air permitting and compliance programs primarily for manufacturing, industrial, and power industry clients. He has held technical and management roles in consulting and manufacturing, as well as a senior environmental engineering role with the Alabama Department of Environmental Management. At ECT, Adam will leverage his regional experience and network to focus on client acquisition and expansion, program and project consulting, and state and federal permitting and compliance strategies, including Title V Operating Permits.
Located in the greater Montgomery area, Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Florida State University and is a licensed professional engineer in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi. He is active in several industry organizations including a long-standing membership with the Alabama Chapter of the Air and Waste Management Association (AWMA), which he currently chairs.
Jeremy Weant, PE joins ECT as a staff engineer focused on managing and performing environmental permitting and compliance projects for clients primarily in the Gulf States and Southeast region. Core responsibilities include agency relations, permit applications, performing technical evaluations, including the preparation of air quality studies related to various national standards.
Located in Auburn, Jeremy’s diverse background includes regulatory, manufacturing and consulting roles, including a senior environmental engineering role with the Alabama Department of Environmental Management. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Engineering from Auburn University and is a licensed professional engineer in Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. His affiliations include Manufacture Alabama.
