Additional expertise adds client services and project capabilities throughout the region
August 19, 2025 – Environmental Consulting and Technology, Inc. (ECT) expanded its Texas operations through the addition of formal Houston operations providing natural and cultural resources solutions for power & energy and mission-critical markets. A new office in Houston’s Energy Corridor adds more than a dozen professionals and several leaders to the firm’s existing presence:

Nile Walker, MA, RPA is the operations director of cultural resources for the firm’s western region, enhancing our capabilities and strategic presence across the Central and Western US. Nile brings experience in leading high-performing teams and managing complex projects in upstream and midstream oil & gas markets, power delivery, land development, and a variety of other sectors. With past roles in consulting and academia, Nile enjoys team building and client service as much as technical consulting.
Amanda Gregory joins as the operations director of natural resources for the firm’s Western region, bringing more than 17 years of experience supporting clients in the oil & gas, power, industrial, land development, and public sectors. Her expertise includes the development of NEPA documents, Clean Water Act permits, and endangered species evaluations, while leading teams to provide critical services for clients navigating complex regulatory environments. Amanda’s professional background spans agency representation, client organizations, and consulting leadership.
As the senior operations director for the Western region, Brandon Wieme, CWB®, will lead teams across the region, driving operational excellence and supporting strategic growth initiatives across key markets. He brings two decades of dynamic consulting leadership across the Gulf States, Southern, and Western US on diverse projects, spanning oil & gas, power delivery, ports and logistics, and land development. Brandon’s addition to the leadership team supports ECT’s continued investment in our clients and mission-critical markets such as data, power & energy, and oil & gas.
“The market need for experienced, responsive consultants continues,” says Chief Development Officer Keleigh Williams. “Our collective Texas team and Western region professionals offer clients a responsive approach and a consistent partnership in shifting and uncertain regulatory settings.”
The extended team joins ECT’s existing staff working from Houston, as well as metro Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. While the firm has supported clients in the region for decades, a formal presence was established three years ago under the leadership of Amber Ballman, who remains in regional leadership as an account director focused on client service and program success throughout Texas and the West.
“Through dedication, the evolution and successful growth of our entire team has been inspiring,” noted Ballman. “With new and added expertise in Texas and the West, we can further support clients through the evolving regulatory and market shifts we see before us.”
