September 12, 2022 (Chicago, IL) – The Robert Crown Community Center received AIA Chicago’s “Citation of Merit” award recognizing medium-sized architecture projects for design excellence.
ECT celebrated the recognition with the project team at AIA’s DesignNight 2022, Chicago’s premier architecture celebration held at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park, Chicago.
The 95,000 square foot US Green Building Council LEED Silver certified recreation center, library and outdoor sports facility is situated on 16-acres within Evanston, Illinois. ECT’s team of landscape architects and civil engineers provided site design services that included three synthetic turf athletic fields, a playground and an outdoor classroom/reading room for the preschool and library. The infill development is set amongst a residential neighborhood and has quickly become an active destination for community members of all ages.
Congratulations to the entire project team, including The City of Evanston, Woodhouse Tinucci Architects, MJMA Architecture and Design, and Bulley and Andrews.
