New position supports clients and consultants in shifting growth markets
June 11, 2026 – Environmental Consulting & Technology, Inc. (ECT) has appointed Dwayne Robinson as Senior Vice President of Power, a newly created executive leadership role that reflects the firm’s continued investment in supporting power infrastructure projects and clients across a rapidly shifting landscape.
As investment accelerates across generation and transmission alone, stakeholders face growing pressure to advance projects efficiently while navigating increasingly complex environmental, regulatory, and investor considerations. Robinson’s diverse background and leadership experiences strengthen ECT’s ability to help clients move essential infrastructure projects from planning through delivery.
“The power sector is experiencing significant change as communities, industries, and digital expectations place new demand and load on traditional systems,” said President and CEO Bobbi Westerby. “Dwayne brings the leadership experience and practical perspective to help clients and consulting teams navigate that complexity and move important projects forward.”
Robinson brings more than 30 years of experience leading organizations, programs, and projects across the power industry. His background spans operations, business development, and executive leadership, with experience supporting investor-owned utilities, electric cooperatives, municipal utilities, and diversified power clients throughout the United States. He has guided projects from planning and development through construction and operation while building and leading multidisciplinary teams.
In his new role, Robinson provides strategic leadership for ECT’s power market growth while ensuring talent and resource development in emerging and existing sectors. His experience managing complex projects, leading large teams, and building client-focused organizations will position ECT for continued growth where it matters most to its current client and partners.
“I joined ECT because we have one important thing in common – a focus on delivering value,” said Robinson. “In this dynamic market, there is a clear opportunity for us to partner with our clients to deliver sustainable, innovative, and cost-effective solutions. Consultants will need to pivot with the market in a responsive and responsible way to ensure future success.”
Robinson has managed operations across many regions of the U.S. while often working nationally on large-scale project and client programs. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University.
At this stage in his career, Robinson finds meaning and joy in coaching, mentoring, and training the industry leaders of tomorrow. “It’s about emphasizing self-awareness in a way that promotes positive outcomes for the folks they lead and the companies they support,” Robinson said. “In my opinion, this discovery is one of the keys to sustainable growth.”
