From Alaska to Puerto Rico: ECT Delivers Nationwide Field Liaison Support for NFWF Conservation Grants
NFWF National Programs Field Liaison Support
Nationwide, United States
The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) is the largest conservation foundation in the United States. NFWF’s National Programs Team engaged ECT to provide a nationally distributed Field Liaison Team, supporting multiple NFWF initiatives, such as America’s Ecosystem Restoration Initiative (AERI), as well as applicants and grantees.
ECT’s liaisons, together with Whitetail Environmental, serve as an additional resource to grantees, assisting with grant administration, project delivery, and troubleshooting, while working with grantees and NFWF to promote project successes and lessons learned. For applicants, liaisons develop program webinars, host proposal labs, and provide support throughout the application process. The Field Liaison Team engages both virtually and in person, with more than 140 grantees representing projects across all 50 states and five U.S. territories.
Additionally, ECT provides Field Liaison support for NFWF’s Healthy American Forests Initiative (HAFI) and Western Big Game Fund (Big Game) programs. ECT field liaisons educated potential applicants about both initiatives through live webinars, recorded videos, and web pages, helping applicants create compelling and competitive submittals with the goal of securing funding in 2026. Once NFWF awards the grants, ECT’s team will begin collaborating with HAFI and Big Game grantees, supporting them as they navigate grant requirements and challenges, and sharing their successes.
