ECT functions as a member of International Transmission Company’s (ITC) Corporate Environmental Group providing service to ITC Transmission, ITC Midwest, ITC Great Plains and Michigan Electrical Transmission Company (METC), an electrical transmission company headquartered in Novi, Michigan. ECT reviews regulatory applicability for ITC operations, performs environmental audits and reviews, and submits environmental reports for all ITC warehouses, ITC substations (~700), and other regulated properties. ECT reviews existing and proposed regulations to determine applicability to ITC operations. ECT maintains an Environmental Compliance Management System (ECMS), developed by ECT, to track ITC environmental assets, multi-media compliance audits, regulatory reports, permits and plans, and public outreach.
