Industry expertise and diverse capabilities bring opportunities for growing consulting firm
February 9, 2021 – ECT announces that Dean Harwood has been named Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effectively immediately. With proven success in the areas of strategic and financial management in the engineering, construction, and consulting fields, he will be an integral part of the firm’s ongoing diversification and expansion efforts.

For the past two decades, Harwood successfully advanced through financial, operations, and development leadership roles for large consulting organizations, including Parsons Corporation and Wood. His areas of expertise include strategic planning and development, M&A, financial management, and risk management.
At ECT, Harwood will lead the financial and business services groups, including accounting, facilities, purchasing, and contracting. Working from Charlotte, North Carolina, he will also engage the company’s board of directors, senior leadership, and project managers to increase performance through creative financial strategies, corporate efficiencies, and process automation.
Harwood holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from Emory University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina Charlotte. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and completed the Kellogg Advanced Executive Management Program at Northwestern University.
