# Be Prepared for Bat Survey Season

ECT offers extensive and diverse expertise in conducting bat studies and impact evaluations for public and private clients, particularly in support of renewable, transportation, utility transmission, residential, and commercial development projects.

For summer surveys, our extensive knowledge of forest types and roost tree selection of federally listed bats in various regions is critical to the process. Capabilities include habitat assessments, mist-net surveys, acoustic surveys, harp-trap and portal surveys, radiotelemetry, and roost tree identification.

At ECT, our federally permitted bat biologists are approved to handle the following species of bats:

- Northern long-eared bat (Myotis septentrionalis)
- Indiana bat (Myotis sodalis)
- Gray bat (Myotis grisescens)
- Virginia big-eared bat (Corynorhinus townsendii virginianus)
- Ozark big-eared bat (Corynorhinus townsendii ingens)
- Florida bonneted bat (Eumpos floridanus) – acoustic only

Mist-net and acoustic surveys can be completed through August 15. Timing is critical to achieve permitting and project schedules.
